Apple is Testing Folding iPhone; To Release in 2022: Report
The smartphone industry is rapidly appearing to introduce folding smartphones than it has been suspected earlier. Recent rumours are also suggesting about Apple working on a folding iPhone which is roaming for quite a long time, and now a recent report from China suggests that the company may be testing these folding devices.
The report from the Economic Daily claims that Foxconn and
New Nikkon has already submitted samples of folding iPhones to Apple. Moreover,
it also mentions about the company decision has been oscillating between OLED
panel and microLED display evert now and then.
In the meanwhile, Apple is also reportedly testing the
samples for screen and hinges implementation as it comes out to be the most common
points of failure of these folding smartphones. And this is actually making sense
as the original Galaxy Fold actually got affected from this huge display
concerns. In addition to that, the number of times of folding the smartphone should
also be taken concerned so the hinge is definitely needed to be tested thoroughly.
The report suggests that the Cupertino giant will be testing the hinges for 100,000
actuation. Moreover, the hinges will be made by New Nikkon— the same
manufacturer which makes the hinges for MacBooks.
So, this comes to be great news for those who are waiting
for the folding iPhone. The report is also suggesting that Apple is aiming to
launch this technology in September 2022 but there is no way that the news to
be confirmed yet so we are looking forward to it but it also to be kept in mind
that Apple has not brought new technology sooner to avoid any malfunction.
However, we are hoping to see a folding iPhone sooner rather than later.
